Save of the Week: Mark Tyler (Luton Town) v Gateshead
“Greg’s sliced his clearance and I’ve just stuck a hand out. Luckily it’s spun past the post, you’ve just got to be on your toes.” - Mark Tyler, Luton Town.
“Mark’s pulled off an unbelievable save and I don’t know how he’s done that.” - George Pilkington, captain of Luton Town.

Luton’s bid to reach the Conference play-offs stayed on course this week, following a goalless draw at Gateshead.
Whilst Luton had aspirations of winning the match, at the final whistle they were indebted to Hatters’ keeper Mark Tyler for a brilliant reaction save to maintain his side’s clean sheet.
Gateshead broke down left in the 84th minute and, after working the ball to six-yard box, the ball cannoned off Luton’s Greg Taylor towards the visitors’ own goal. A Gateshead winner looked a certainty.
But then, like a Superman between the sticks, 35-year-old goalie Tyler flung a left hand across his goalline, and the custodian miraculously tipped the ball around the post.
